Indiana American Water rate increase decision

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has denied a request by the Indiana American Water Company for an increase of more than 8% in its annual operating revenues, granting a 1% increase instead. The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) had recommended a 4% decrease.

According to Indiana Utility Consumer Counselor David Stippler, the decision means Indiana American Water’s customers will pay nearly $15 million less in annual rates than they otherwise could have paid. Read more from the OUCC’s press release>>
